The Effect of ¡¯Personalized Exercise Prescription Service for Elderly¡¯ on Quality of Life

Abstract
This study looked into 242 old people over 65 years who continued to participate in ``Personalized Exercise Prescription Service for Elderly`` conducted as part of ``Community Social Service Investment Program`` in 4 cities including S city to verify the performance of the participation by comparing their quality of life before and after the service. In order to measure quality of life, it used the Korean version of the WHOQOL-BREF. The data assessment was made by SPSS 18.0 Version. The major findings of the study turned out as follows. The ``quality of life`` of the participants turned out significantly improved as whole(p<.001). Looking into the sub-variables, we saw that ``social relationship`` increased by 0.52, which showed greatest improvement among all the sub-factors. ``Physical health`` and ``environment`` were also seen statistically significantly increased by 0.46 and 0.09, respectively. Only ``mental and psychological health`` domain was increased slightly, it didn`t turn out statistically significant in terms of difference before and after the participation in the service. Based on these findings, this study made some suggestions to help the original objective of this research to be achieved.
